Instead of encountering legends and villains at the Aiken County Historical Museum as in years past, this year we bring the ghostly villains to your house. (insert evil laughter) During non-pandemic years, folks have enjoyed touring our museum at night and experiencing various historical vignettes with our volunteer actors. However, due to current crowd restrictions, we are using Zoom to debut a program that we are calling "Virtual Villains."
"Virtual Villains" will consist of both live and pre-recorded videos with the staff and volunteers of the Aiken County Historical Museum (ACHM). After purchasing your ticket for your household, a link to the Zoom meeting will be emailed to you. Log on to the meeting a few minutes prior to 7 pm on Friday, October 16th and then you will spend around 45 minutes watching the macabre stories of Aiken County unfold.
All historical accounts are researched and accurate to the best of our ability. Just a heads up, these stories are at times gruesome and involve accounts of domestic violence, racial injustice, and murder. There are no happy endings here... but there are fascinating stories to be told.
